About Me

For over 25 years, I have been teaching piano to students of all ages and abilities. I started playing the piano when I was three years old and began teaching when I was sixteen. I graduated from University of Western Ontario with an Honours degree in Music Education. After that, I moved to Toronto to study at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, where I graduated with my Bachelor of Education, graduating in the top three percent of my class.

I obtained certifications to teach English as a Second Language as well as Special Education.

After moving to Oakville, I decided to open my own piano studio.

At Gen Leung Piano Studio, I strive to create an environment of trust, understanding and patience. As a mother of two, I understand the importance of creating a learning space that is both fun and nurturing. I provide students with a comprehensive, personalized approach to learning that focuses on developing the individual’s musical potential.
